Superskills Hockey was founded in 1999 by Brian Daccord (Merrimack College)Mario Martiniello (Northeastern University) and Tom McNamara (University of Vermont). The decision to start a hockey development company was based on a passion to teach children to play hockey in a fun and energized environment. The first Superskills Camps were run out of the Icenter in Salem new Hampshire where Superskills also operated an off-ice training facility and synthetic ice room for private lessons. The camps expanded to several rinks in Massachusetts ands New Hampshire and Superskills conducted skill sessions for a number of youth hockey organizations. The New England Moose teams were formed in 2001. Beginning in 2003 the camps moved from the base of the Icenter to Phillips Andover Academy and several camps are run there currently. In 2004 Superskills completed the retrofit of their new full size sheet in Tewksbury, MA. Also in 2004 Superskills began running stay-over camps at St. Anselms College in Manchester, N.H.
